IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR MENTAL WELL-BEING  IN AN HOUR START HERE…. 

Find something meaningful that inspires and excites you.

Humans do better with meaning or purpose. Do you know many successful and/or happy folk with meaningless lives? I doubt it. 

There are two parts to all of us…

There’s what we do.

And there’s who we are. Meaning how are we as a person. Our qualities.

I think we define ourselves alot by what we do and less by who we are.

We think about the doing again and again. When we meet someone new we ask  “How are you and what do you do?” We describe ourselves more by our work, our hobbies and possessions. 

We are great DO-ERS.

But seem to place less importance on our qualities.

When you meet someone it should be"Hi,i so who are you, what floats yr boat?” 😉😉

But we don't.

I suggest starting with a few words that define the person you'd like to be. There are hundreds to choose from. What's important to you?

Eg…

Family

Honesty

Kindness

Adventure

Connection

Nature

Giving in some way

Potential. 

Like I say, endless possibilities. The trick is to find a few that really jump out at you.

From there just try to keep those words in your head and aspire to live by them as much as possible.

Hint- purpose doesn't mean you have to be famous, drive a fast red car, save the world or have a podcast.

Hint- Its about being yourself as truly as possible.

When who we genuinely are and what we do are a bad match its really hard to be happy and fulfilled.
